Coverage Lead Home Delivery Driver

Job Description

Position Summary

The Coverage Lead Home Delivery Driver will be primarily responsible for supporting open route coverage for scheduled / unscheduled absences for a given territory and support training for new team members.

Schedule : 4 Day Work Week (Flexible for last minute coverage of routes)

Pay : $19.25 per hour

Travel to help cover routes in other territories is required as needed; can be up to 25% travel

Position responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Travel to help cover routes in other territories; up to 25% travel
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey traffic laws at all times
• Load meals into company vehicle at designated cold storage facility
• Deliver meals to our clients, often taking meals into clients’ homes
• Make phone calls to clients when delivery issues arise or if necessary for your region
• Accurately and consistently record deliveries on MMHD delivery application
• Consistently follow all food related sanitation / food safety procedures
• Provide excellent customer service to clients at all times
• Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment in a safe operating manner
• Report any equipment failures and vehicle damage immediately to supervisor so proper repairs can be scheduled in a timely manner
• Assist with vehicle and driver audits
• Ensure deliveries occur in compliance with established protocols
• Manage daily deliveries and unsuccessful / returned product
• Identify and complete routine vehicle maintenance
