The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to best practices in patient management.\n\nResponsibilities\n
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in critical condition, monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patient status.\n
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.\n
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.\n
- Perform advanced procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, and airway management as needed.\n
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including triage and diagnostic evaluations.\n
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.\n
- Educate patients and families on health management, discharge planning, and post-care instructions.\n
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety standards.\n\nSkills\n
- Critical care experience with proficiency in ICU protocols and procedures.\n
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient medical documentation.\n
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.\n
- Experience with various nursing specialties including emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and trauma medicine.\n
- Competence in performing essential nursing tasks such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, suturing, tube feeding, and specimen collection / processing.\n
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions.\n
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.\n
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
