The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Process Technician on behalf of our client, a leading North American manufacturer of high-efficiency solar panels, headquartered in Fort Mill, SC .
In this role, you will support daily manufacturing operations at a state-of-the-art solar module production facility. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving automated production processes to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency. Role & Responsibility :
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success
Support production and ensure that equipment process integrity is in place, supervise and confirm the operation of each process, output, rework ratio, and resolution of various anomalies.Perform periodic checking of machine process parameters and recipes, collect and evaluate operating and quality data to conduct equipment / recipe adjustment to ensure process optimization.Quick and effective diagnosis and troubleshooting of routine or minor problems.Confirm the content of changes to product categories and processes, ensure that the process parameters are always operating in optimal condition.Get to know the manufacturing process in detail to be able to identify when the process is deviating from the norm and take action to correct it or to escalate it to Supervisor / Eng. if unable to correct the problem.Implement new process technologies to improve product efficiency and yield, including equipment upgrades, process technologies, new material testing and introduction.Troubleshoot nonstandard events on the production line and establish preventative measures to limit recurrence of such events.Train other employees using the “Buddy”, “Trainer”, and “Certifier” levels, as well as updating training manuals when necessary.Participate in programs to improve productivity and output quality of the module.Provide technical support to production teams and perform other tasks as needed.Ensure, enforce and comply with all legal requirements.Minimize the risk of accidents and pollution.Skills & Experience
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
A background or degree in a related science or engineering field, such as chemistry, mechanics, or physics.Experience working on-site in production and being able to track various production data.Proficient in Microsoft Office software.Ability to work independently and participate in teamwork.Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.Training in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Mechanical), and a minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience.Experience in on-site process control or fabrication is a plus.Detailed oriented individual capable of time and project management.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Team oriented.Commitment to continuous learning.High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow-through.Willing and able to work rotating shifts.
