Manager is looking for Medsurg skilled RNs for this MS / Onc unit. Qualifications :

2 Years Minimum Experience REQUIRED

1st Time Travelers are ACCEPTED

Locals are ACCEPTED

REQUIRED Certs : BLS

Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert

Skills REQUIRED :

Experience in an inpatient setting is required

Med / Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac

PREFERRED Skills :

PREFERRED Certs : CPI, OCN

Charge nurse experience

JOB DETAILS :

Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history

Target Ratios : 1 : 6

Shift : NIGHTS 36 or48 hours accepted.

13-26 weeks accepted

RTO : 7 days MAX

Call Requirement : Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.

Float Requirement : Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.

Weekend Requirement : EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.

Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy / biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.

AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips,

UNIT SYSTEMS : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

SCRUBS : Navy Blue and white. Referral Bonus : $250-$500 (each referral)
