The Opportunity
This position works out of our Atlanta, GA location in the Heart Failure Division. In Abbotts Heart Failure (HF) business, were developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
This individual will develop and implement a suite of new manufacturing process as we grow the CardioMEMS portfolio. Come be a part of our dynamic team as we push the bounds of our technology, improve our efficiency, and better serve heart failure patients around the world.
What Youll Work On
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for implantable MEMS sensors
Identify and implement new equipment for MEMS manufacturing processes
Perform failure mode analysis to identify root cause of manufacturing issues and implement solutions
Conduct formal Verification & Validation studies, including executing process characterization DOEs, Installation Qualification, and Process Validation (OQ / PQ)
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, or related disciplines
Minimum 2 years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Semiconductor / MEMS development and manufacturing experience
Experience in process development, optimization, design of experiments methodology, and statistical analysis
Proficiency in mechanical design and rapid prototyping (3D Printing & CNC Milling)
Experience with Class II or III implantable medical devices, or other highly regulated industries (e.g. Automotive, Aviation, etc.)
Hands on experience with semiconductor and microelectronics packaging concepts (e.g. wet wafer processes, physical vapor deposition, wafer bonding, wire bonding, encapsulation, etc.)
Experience programming automated equipment (e.g. C / C++, Python, Labview, PLCs)
Proficiency in JMP or MiniTab to create and analyze DOE and process capability results.
