About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

• Strong background in managing ventilators, CRRT, invasive monitoring, and post-surgical / trauma patients.
• Trauma Level I or Burn ICU experience preferred.

Description :

This position is in the Surgical, Trauma, and Burn Intensive Care Unit.

The unit has 38 beds with an average census of approximately 28 patients.

Shifts are three 12-hour night shifts.

Patient ratios are 1 : 2 for days, nights, and weekends.

The schedule includes every other weekend and requires floating to different units as needed.

The patient population includes trauma, burn, transplant, surgical cases, and overflow neuro / medical ICU patients.

Advanced procedures performed in this unit include CRRT, bedside tracheostomies, PEG placements, and bronchoscopies.

Documentation is managed through a specific electronic health record system.

This unit is a Level I Trauma and Burn Center serving a tri-state area.

Daily burn dressings are performed by trained burn nurses.

The unit also provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Special equipment utilized includes ventilators, IV pumps, and wound vacs.

The unit serves adult and geriatric patient age groups.

Candidates must complete necessary credentialing processes.

Professional references are required, including one from a manager or director.

Education must be from an accredited nursing program.

Candidates should possess skills in managing complex patient needs and various medical procedures.
