Maintenance Mechanical (Tech 3)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position : Maintenance Mechanical Tech 3

Position Status : Hourly Nonexempt

Reports To : Maintenance Supervisor

Location : Bond St or American Blvd location in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanical Tech 3 is responsible for keeping production and facility equipment in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe operations. This hands-on role involves electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive repair across both De Pere locations (mileage included in compensation).

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and facility systems.

Lead maintenance planning, work orders, inventory tracking, and contractor coordination.

Manage and maintain facility systems (HVAC, fire / security, landscaping, etc.).

Support and enforce safety initiatives and preventive maintenance programs.

Communicate effectively between shifts and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Perform basic machining, pipefitting, welding, and electrical wiring (single / three phase, PLC systems).

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours issues.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Journeyman’s card, Electro-Mechanical degree, or 5+ years of related experience preferred.

Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills in manufacturing or paper converting environments.

Ability to read electrical schematics and perform preventive maintenance.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.

Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and perform manual labor as needed.
