Job Title : Laboratory Technician

Job Description

As a Laboratory Technician within the Fate & Metabolism team, you will contribute to the development and validation of analytical methods, enabling the registration of new and existing agricultural products. Your work will support our mission to enrich the lives of producers and consumers, fostering progress for generations to come.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, conducting, and reporting studies to support product registration and development of biologically active research chemicals.
  • Support laboratory testing and data generation as outlined by study directors for Fate and Metabolism studies.
  • Train technicians, contractors, and part-time students in conduct, sample preparation, and data collection for Fate & Metabolism studies.
  • Operate laboratory instrumentation, including balances, centrifuges, gas chromatographs, high-performance liquid chromatographs, mass spectrometers, and liquid scintillation counters.
  • Maintain system performance and minimize downtime by interfacing with instrument / equipment owners and the Lab Operations team.
  • Comply with laboratory safety procedures, Environmental Protection Agency Good Laboratory Practices Standards, National Regulatory Commission requirements for the use and handling of radioactive materials, and other pertinent regulatory agency requirements.
  • Document activities in a neat, accurate, and complete manner.
  • Interact positively with all members of the Fate & Metabolism group to foster a team approach to projects.

Essential Skills

  • BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related disciplines (Chemistry preferred).
  • 0-3 years of experience working in a professional laboratory setting (preferably a GLP Lab).
  • Experience with HPLC or UPLC.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge in laboratory operations and analytical chemistry.
  • Understanding of GLP, GMP, and quality control test procedures.
  • Work Environment

    The position operates on a first shift, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The environment is a professional laboratory setting, adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards. Enjoy benefits like paid holidays and PTO while working in a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
