The salary range for this position is Assistant $293,245-$453,320, Associate Professor $466,164-$675,934, and Full Professor $542,534-$836,659. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan . Salary and level of appointment will be based on experience and qualifications.

Position description

The Division of Transplant Surgery of the University of California Davis, Health in Sacramento is seeking a Board- Certified / board-eligible abdominal transplant surgeon with a focus on Kidney Transplantation.

The candidate will join the Division of Transplant Surgery of the Department of Surgery. The Division currently performs 350 kidney transplants, 90 living donor nephrectomies, and over 200 dialysis access cases annually. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in all aspects of kidney transplantation and dialysis access. The individual would be incorporated into a practice that includes laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, adult and pediatric kidney transplantation and dialysis access.

This full-time faculty position will be at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence series, dependent upon experience and qualification. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University / public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence, and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University / public service. Faculty in the In-Residence series are expected to engage in teaching, independent research, and creative work, demonstrate professional competence and activity, and provide University and public service.
