Monitor project progress and implement solutions to address challenges or delays. Building Electrical Systems Design : Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Conduct load calculations, system layouts, and feasibility studies. Drafting and Documentation : Update designs based on project changes and feedback. Education : Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Certification : Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within one year, a plus. Experience : 5-7 years' experience, with proven experience managing electrical projects in the building systems sector. Knowledge : Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and practices (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA). Skills : Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills. Travel : Willingness to travel up to 40%, primarily to local sites (Illinois : Lockport, Orland Park, Tinley Park; Indiana : Merrillville) with occasional international travel. Panduit is seeking a skilled Sr Electrical Engineer - Building Systems to join our team. If you have experience managing electrical projects, a strong understanding of building systems, and expertise in AutoCAD, this is your chance to lead exciting projects from start to finish! You'll work across multiple plants, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering high-quality results that exceed expectations.
What You Will Do
- Project Management :
Manage electrical projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Design and analyze electrical systems for industrial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
Prepare project documentation, including specifications, reports, and as-built drawings.

Compensation : The expected annual base salary range for this role is $95,000- $120,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
