Electrician

Position Summary
We are seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians to support electrical maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical systems and components on production equipment and facility systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Install, remove, alter, or retrofit electrical systems and wiring to meet operational needs and safety codes.
- Operate and test equipment after service to ensure safety and functionality.
- Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and manuals for effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Run conduit and perform wiring throughout the facility (indoors and outdoors).
- Lead or assist with equipment installations, relocations, or system upgrades.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and engineering teams on projects and daily operations.
- Mentor apprentices and support documentation and reporting of all electrical work performed.
Required Qualifications
Certificate of completion from a 4-year electrician apprentice program or 6+ years of hands-on electrical experienceJourneyman Electrician – Department of Labor card (Required)Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, and test equipmentAbility to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsBasic mechanical understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systemsFamiliarity with fabrication, installation, and safe electrical practicesCapable of troubleshooting complex issues and performing root-cause analysisMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without restrictionsAbility to obtain / maintain :Powered Industrial Truck CertificationMichigan Driver LicenseCertifications in Aerial Lift, Overhead Crane, Lockout / Tagout, Electrical Safety, and Confined Space EntryPhysical & Environmental Requirements
Exposure to large machinery, tools, and indoor / outdoor environmentsPossible contact with dust, noise, solvents, paint, lubricants, and heatRequires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs (heavier with assistance)Must be able to walk, bend, twist, reach, and stand for extended periodsRegular repetitive hand and arm movements requiredClimbing stairs or ladders may be necessary
