- For local candidates within 60 miles of our Holland, OH headquarters, this role is hybrid after 60-day orientation period.
- For candidates outside of local area, this role would be primarily remote, but must be open to travel to HQ as required by the manager.
- Must live in the following states to be considered : Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas, Colorado, Montana, Rhode Island, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada.
- Must be able to work business hours of 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm EST

Position Summary :
This Product leader serves as the Area Product Owner responsible for defining the company’s vision for the overall platform capabilities and delivery of the patron experience for Hoopla Digital, the leading all-in-one digital library media experience.
This collaborative leader works across the organization to help identify, prioritize, and define product features and value sets that that serve the needs of librarians and patrons.
Success in this role will involve efficient and timely communication with technical and non-technical team members, proactive coordination, love of new technologies, a strong desire to learn, curious nature, the ability to coach direct and indirect reports, and a passion for removing inefficiencies. This proven innovator will encourage collaboration and actively partner with other product owners to help them achieve their goals while successfully completing the objectives of Midwest Tape.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Help develop and refine the Hoopla Digital product strategy and roadmap to advance the impact of Hoopla across current and potential applications.Collaborate with the other product vertical leaders to create integrated experiences that improve the lives of our librarians and their patrons.Lead the prioritization and planning efforts of your assigned development projects, leveraging the company’s agile workflow to deliver the product vision and ensure that the product backlog, roadmap, and business needs are aligned.Collaborate with business and technical users across departments to identify and solve key business problems and evolve company practices.Lead your team of assigned Business System Analysists / Feature Product Owners and Scale the team as needed to achieve the company’s objectives, recruiting, managing, and coaching assigned Business Systems Analysts / Feature Product Owners and the Systems Optimization team.Follow all policies and procedures.Perform all other functions as required, including any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within Midwest Tape.Skills :
Solid understanding of software development processes and digital optimization.Strong communication, planning and problem-solving abilities.Ability to elicit cooperation and effectively collaborate with cross functional teams to create project / sprint plans, deliverables and resolve blocking issues.Knowledgeable of Agile and Scrum frameworks and their application in product development and delivery organization.Proven ability to manage and analyze data to derive meaningful insights and quickly diagnose and correct challenges.Demonstrates a passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and high quality, innovative and robust technical solutions.Ability to leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and more to serve the team(s).Strong knowledge of web, eCommerce and mobile technologies.Knowledge of JIRA / Trello and other similar tools.Proven leadership and management skills.Must be detail oriented and possess great organization skills.Preferred Education Requirements :
Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, marketing, or related area.Professional Agile training or certificationPreferred Experience :
10+ years of Agile, product, or project management experience managing software strategic roadmapsPhysical Requirements / Work Environment :
