The Role
We are looking for CNC Machinists to join our team. In this role you will set up, operate, and clean CNC machines to ensure efficient operations, prevent contamination and achieve optimal utilization. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of aerospace and additive manufacturing.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.
- Setup, operate and perform daily maintenance on manufacturing machines.
- Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Makes high quality parts to specifications.
- Helps develop workable methods for machining operations.
- Makes proper use of machines, tooling, and inspection equipment.
- Sets up, machines, and inspects all required operations.
- Proficient at inspecting sizes and geometries down to .0002”.
- Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced machinists to upgrade their machining, inspection, and problem-solving skills.
Skill Requirements
Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.Proficient on manual and CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, hand filing, and deburring process.Proficient at programming and makes full use of all the CNC control functions.Develops effective methods.Sets up tools and fixtures.Selects and uses inspection equipment and techniques.Interpret drawings and specifications.Determines acceptability of quality of work.Resolves process issues.Deburrs and finishes at a high level of quality.Meets time and quality standards.Seeks out additional duties when it is needed.Brings up potential problems with suggested solutions.Promotes a positive environment through what is said and by setting an example.Qualifications
Graduate of related two-year vocational school program and three years related work experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations.Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time.Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and concepts.Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Physical Demands
The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.Sit or stand as needed.Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.Proper lifting techniques required.Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
