About the Role :

Join Auburn Community Hospital as a dedicated Surgical Tech in the Operating Room. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a passion for assisting in surgical procedures and providing high-quality patient care. You will work alongside a talented team to support various surgical cases, ensuring the operating environment is safe, sterile, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments and arranging supplies before surgeries.

Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating their needs.

Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.

Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues promptly.

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure procedures are performed efficiently and safely.

Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials.

Be on call as required, prepared to respond to emergent surgical needs.

What You Bring :

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room setting.

Proven experience with orthopedic surgeries.

Strong understanding of sterilization techniques and surgical procedures.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and on-call hours as required.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Completion of a Surgical Technology program accredited by a recognized institution.

Prior experience working in a hospital setting, particularly in orthopedic and sterile procedures.

Travel experience in staffing roles is highly preferred, demonstrating adaptability to different environments and teams.

Additional Information :

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts at no cost to the employer during the assignment duration.
