American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an active OR license, 2+ years of PICU experience, and night shift availability.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 20-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a Level I Pediatric Trauma and Surgery CenterCare for critically ill or injured pediatric patients from birth to young adulthood in a hospital settingShift is 3x12 hour nights (19 : 00–07 : 30) with weekend requirementsFloat required within the hospital to NICU and Pediatric Units, but not to sister hospitalsBlock scheduling accommodations are not available unless otherwise postedPatient conditions include trauma, surgery, respiratory, cardiac, hematology / oncology, and neurologic disordersBedside procedures may include central and arterial line placements, lumbar punctures, intubation / extubation, CRRT initiation / discontinuation, ECMO cannulation / decannulation, and chest explorationEquipment includes Hamilton G5 ventilators, DirectLink ICP Monitors, Artic Sun Targeted Temperature Management, and Baxer Prismaflex machinesUses Epic for charting and EMR documentationScrubs provided for OR; no prints allowedWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, therapists, and other pediatric specialistsComprehensive care responsibilities for a diverse pediatric population with complex medical needsMust float within the hospital as needed; refusal may result in contract cancellationReturn staff must have a 6-month separation before eligibility for rehire as a travelerAll time off requests must be submitted upfront and are limited to two weeksOrientation includes billable online modules completed before start dateLocal candidates are accepted at the same rate; no mileage or radius restrictionsHoliday coverage is required as per unit scheduling\n \n Requirements\n
