- Location of Test Facility is in College Station, TX for minimum of two years, permanent location to be revisited at conclusion of test program (15% travel to Camden, NJ) Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for technical experts’ position in its Test Engineering discipline.
- The thermal-hydraulics test engineer will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers engaged in designing Holtec’s flagship nuclear reactor SMR-300 managed by SMR LLC, which is a subsidiary of Holtec International.
- Holtec International a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry.
- The thermal-hydraulics test engineer will be responsible for preparing technical documents related to test requirements and design information, as well as reviewing and processing documents from supplier deliverables.
- Additionally, they will be responsible on-site for witnessing testing, approving test commencement, and approving test completion.
- The test engineer will be required to work closely with the test sponsor to develop requirements from SMR-300 design and analysis information and work with the test supplier to distill into specifications for performance of a test program.
Minimum Technical Qualifications :
B.S. in engineering field Experience in laboratory experimentation including procedure and report writing as well as data processing.Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar data processing software; ability to work with minimum direction to solve challenging problems and provide recommendations in a timely manner.Excellent technical writing, interpersonal and effective communication skills.Applicants must be eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.Desirable Additional Qualifications :
M.S. in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering; system thermal-hydraulic code analysis experience (e.g.RELAP5); NQA-1 quality assurance experience. knowledge of U.S.NRC licensing processes.Salary range :
