Job Description

At the Blue Peak Center for ABA at Mount St. Mary's University, we are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism through evidence-based treatment methodologies. Our brand-new center will feature both one-on-one and group settings under the careful guidance of highly qualified supervisors. Our team is passionate about making a positive impact and providing compassionate, high-quality care. In addition to the support we provide our clients, we aim to provide a unique experience for those working within the center with a strong focus on training, mentorship, and clinician wellbeing.

If you are enthusiastic, compassionate, and are looking to make a difference for children with autism, we invite you to apply for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position. RBTs provide direct therapy, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), to develop a child's communication, social-emotional, and adaptive daily living skills. RBTs will engage in structured teaching sessions, collect data, and collaborate with the BCBA to identify the best course of treatment for the clients they work with. This position is fulltime and will work out of the Blue Peak Center for Applied Behavior Analysis at Mount St. Mary's University. The Center is located in Emmitsburg, MD.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain RBT certification
• Implement written treatment plans as developed by the BCBA
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
• Work in 1 : 1 or small group settings with clients
• Collect data related to client goals to inform treatment decisions
• Submit regular written reports of client progress
• Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and stakeholders effectively and professionally

Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift.

Hours of operation : 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM

Staff hours will be either 7 : 30 – 4 : 00 PM or 8 : 00 – 4 : 30 PM consistent daily and communicated in advance.

Work Location

At our center in Emmitsburg, MD. 2 miles from Mount St. Mary's University towards downtown Emmitsburg.
