Practice and hospital volumes are high and continue to grow, attracting patients from the greater Columbus area and into East Alabama. Piedmont Columbus Regional includes two hospitals serving over 14 counties. The Midtown Campus is the largest, with a daily census of 275 patients, functioning as a Level 2 Trauma Center, Neuroscience Center of Excellence, and featuring a newly renovated Emergency and Trauma Center. We also have an interventional radiology program performing mechanical thrombectomies for acute ischemic strokes, along with comprehensive Neurology services, including a dedicated Neuroscience floor with an attached Neuro ICU.
