Job Responsibilities :

Provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented support to individuals receiving services
Share personal experiences, offer encouragement, and serve as a role model for peers
Assist individuals in setting and achieving their personal recovery goals
Facilitate peer support groups and one-on-one peer support sessions
Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with mental health challenges

Qualifications :

Personal lived experience with mental health challenges

Completion of Peer Support Specialist training program

Strong communication and active listening skills

Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
