Job Types :
Full-time | Part-time | PRN.
Shift Availability : Day shift, night shift, overnight shift, weekday shifts, and weekend shifts.
Location Requirements : Must be able to commute to Encinitas, CA 92024 (Required). Must be living local to the area which you're applying to. Work location is in-person (Client homes throughout San Diego County).
Key Responsibilities :
Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Perform safe transfers using gait belts and other mobility support techniques
Assist with bedbound care : repositioning, hygiene, incontinence care, skin integrity
Support clients with meal preparation, cooking, diet knowledge
Follow care plans and track / document client health changes accurately
Offer companionship, emotional support, and professional presence
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Provide care in hospice settings (experience is a plus)
Light housekeeping
Required Qualifications :
Minimum 1 year of professional caregiving experience
Must be proficient in :
Gait belt usage
Toileting and incontinence care
Bed-bound client support
Meal prep for special diets
Pure-Wick for bed-bound care a plus
Valid California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration
Current CPR certification
TB test within the last 2 years showing negative results
Valid Drivers License and experience lifting wheelchairs and walkers into car
Must be comfortable driving clients to doctors appointments, and more as needed
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
Must be dependable, compassionate, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Must take feedback well
Reliable transportation and flexible availability (able to take on urgent shifts, occasional weekend shifts, etc.)
