PART TIME DENTAL ASSISTANT

DEPARTMENT : Health Department - Healthy Beginnings

HIRING RANGE : $21.09-$24.84 / hour based on education and position related experience

HOURS Monday-Wednesday hours vary

LOCATION OF POSITION : Elkhart

JOB SUMMARY :

Assists dental hygienists and dentists with direct care of patients, including working chair side, and assisting with instrumentation on operative and preventive procedures. Will also be responsible for a wide range of clerical duties from confirming appointments to pulling charts as well as updating medical histories.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• BILINGUAL SKILLS (ENGLISH / SPANISH) ARE CRITICALLY IMPORTANT
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Dental Assistant Certification or 18 months on the job training w / Radiology license-Indiana
• 1+ years experience in a clerical support function
• Must be well organized and a self starter with computer skills-windows application
• Valid Driver's license
• Hepatitis B vaccine eligible and CPR certified
• Ability to perform expanded function procedures preferred
• Pre-employment background check and TB test
