and early mornings, as needed
- Salary is contingent upon a teacher having a full credential in the specified subject-matter. The starting base for a teacher without a full credential starts at $63,000 / year

POSITION SUMMARY :
The Special Education Teacher / Resource Specialist will work with Special Education designated students, both in and out of the general education classroom. Ingenium Schools uses an inclusion model for special education.
REPRESENTATIVE ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Depending upon assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :
Provide instruction and services for students with disabilities who have been identified in an Individualized Education Program and are assigned to regular classroomsCoordinate the referral, assessment and placement procedures for students referred to the Resource Specialist ProgramParticipate in academic testingWrite Individualized Education Plans for studentsCoordinate special education services with the regular school programsSchedule and attend IEP meetings, as neededTimely record IEP minutes, as needed and requiredCollaborate with regular classroom teachers to provide accommodations and modifications as written on student IEPsMonitor students progress, coordinate the review and revision of their individualized education programs, and refer students to the individualized education program teamOversee SPED aides provision of RSP minutes and create their weekly scheduleMeet with SPED aides on a regular basis to ensure compliance and provide trainingProvide information and assistance to students and to their parentsProvide consultation, resource information, and educational material to students parents, and to general education teachersCoordinate inservice sessions and workshops for teachers and parentsPerform other duties as assigned by the principal and / or director of student servicesAttend mandatory training as required by the positionContinually improve : proactively look for ways to improve skills and processesMaintain positive attitudeMaintain regular attendanceKNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Three years experience as a credentialed teacher preferred, Special Education experience preferredExperience in a California Charter School preferredKnowledge of laws, regulations, and California Education Code pertaining to Special EducationLICENSE AND / OR CERTIFICATES
Must hold a current, valid California Education Services credential with Autism AuthorizationCPR / First Aid Certified (Will be provided, if certification is not current)WORKING CONDITIONS
