SUMMARY OF DUTIES :

The Clerk will provide support to On Board Services Managers, ARASA Supervisors, Services, and Staff, and will interact with all levels of management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Maintain high organization and productivity.
  • Oversee and coordinate clerical functions for division clerks.
  • Process invoices via the E-Trax system.
  • Distribute correspondence, reports, WMS Payroll data entry, and Time Claims timely.
  • Manage office files and records per Amtrak policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of data.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate superior organizational, communication, and administrative skills with minimal supervision.
  • Draft replies to business correspondence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel may be required for meetings and functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Background in administration or clerical work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, demonstrated either through experience or passing a qualification test via SHL Talent Central.
  • Ability to oversee clerical staff and possess supervisory skills.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, CICSPROD, SAP, LMS, Arrow, WMS, MERS, TDRS, and Outlook is preferred.
  • The hourly rate ranges from $30.65 - $40.87 , with potential increases according to the collective bargaining agreement.
