job_description.job_card.job_description3+ years of commercial flooring estimating experience with sales exposure preferred Experience with Carpet Tile, Broadloom Carpet, LVT, VCT, Sheet Vinyl, Sheet Rubber, Resilient Flooring, and Base and Transitions Proficient with Computer Assisted Drawing software for bid scope calculations Experience with Measure Square and On-Screen Takeoff Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word for calculations and proposals Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and create multiple estimates simultaneously Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and construction schedules Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new project opportunities to grow the business
Flooring Sales / Estimator
A respected flooring contractor is seeking a Flooring Sales / Estimator to add to their team. This company has been around for decades and is highly respected in the region. They provide top-tier commercial flooring solutions with a commitment to quality, service, and long-lasting client relationships.
Flooring Sales / Estimator Responsibilities :
- Attend pre-install and project progress meetings
- Read and thoroughly understand project drawings and specifications
- Schedule deliveries and installation
- Order and track product
- Track progress and troubleshoot projects in the field
- Estimate projects with accuracy, speed, and efficiency using our companys estimating system
- Proactively look for, respond to, and bid new site projects accurately
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, and clients to generate new sales opportunities
- Conduct site visits and job walks to understand project requirements and build rapport with clients
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and product availability
- Engage in value engineering and cost management to offer clients the best solutions
- Other responsibilities related to this position may arise, and flexibility to assist where needed is essential
