Security Officer - Logistics Access Control

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will interact with individuals in a professional manner, providing outstanding customer service and communication while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Pay Rate : $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 07 : 30 AM - 07 : 30 PM

Wed 07 : 30 AM - 07 : 30 PM

Thur 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Fri 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with access control procedures at the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Provide customer service by following site-specific policies and procedures, and responding to inquiries from personnel and visitors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for any irregularities.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific actions.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and property.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer and / or tablet.
  • Must have access control and / or badge experience.
  • Must possess a state, county, or city issued security license.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
