IT Process Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for managing the IT people, processes, and tools that support Data Center, Desktop Management and second level technology support for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC).

Serves as the area leader in the planning, design, development, and support for data center, desktops, mobile devices and core applications / services for OSUWMC. Manages teams responsible for the engineering, build, installation / configuration, operation, maintenance, and support of the OSUWMC's desktop and data center environments to ensure levels of stability, reliability and acceptable performance. This is a technical leadership position with required skill sets to manage architects, engineers, and administrators for desktop management, application packaging, data center infrastructure and facilities administration, and second level support for IT technologies. Coordinates major initiatives, including multiple departments, service lines, platforms, and various administrative interfaces regarding the integration of desktop and data center technology with overall business / healthcare solutions. Manages projects involving high business risk, scope and impact to the organization; leads and facilitates strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and / or workflows needs associated with desktop and data center environments. Individual serves as a subject matter expert and manager for data center and desktop strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies. Individual provides direction and insight to leaders, peers and team members regarding the identification and alignment of strategic desktop and data center requirements with evolving information technology / business opportunities. Recognized across the organization for expertise and sought as a source for resolution of unique or the most complex systems problems.

Detail-oriented and proactive IT Process Engineer to drive operational process improvements across Level 1 to Level 4 (L1L4) support functions. This role focuses on enhancing processes related to maintenance, release management, and quality assurance , while ensuring seamless collaboration with managed service providers and internal support teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
