About This Job
The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails.
The purpose of this position is to primarily perform custodial duties to help maintain cleanliness and a safe environment for the customers. This includes all facilities and grounds. This position will also assist with general maintenance such as removing garbage from campgrounds, changing light bulbs and air filters, etc. as needed.
This is a fulltime position located at Lake D'Arbonne State Park in Farmerville, LA.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties :
The purpose of this position is to maintain the cleanliness of park buildings and rental facilities as well as the grounds, including the park's gardens. Guest occupancy is heavy on a seasonal basis, and the percentages will vary throughout the year.
Position-Specific Details :
Appointment Type : Probational; Current classified permanent status employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if offered the position.
Work Schedule : Full-time; May be required to work overtime.
Career Progression : This position is in a career progression group up to a Park Technician C. This position may be filled as a Park Technician A, B, or C based on the qualifications of the applicant selected.
