Responsibilities Position based in a hospital Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting Patient population includes critical post-operative and Level 1 trauma cases Assigned to both day and night shifts, 3x12 hour shifts with a 50 / 50 split between days and nights over a 6 week period Weekend shifts are included in the rotation Holiday coverage is required Unit nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2 Charting is done with Cerner EMR Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity Flu vaccination is mandatory Parking is available on campus RTO (requested time off) must be specified at time of submission; no more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is preferred, and no RTO is permitted during the first two weeks Return staff must be separated from previous employment for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible for travel assignment Completion of onboarding modules is required before starting and possibly during orientation First time travelers will be screened for eligibility Requirements Active DC RN license required; pending license accepted but must be active prior to start Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry, ventilators, and high acuity units required At least one prior travel assignment strongly preferred; first time travelers will be screened Pulmonary Artery Line experience is preferred Level 1 trauma and post-operative experience preferred Two supervisor references from the past 2 years required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624989.
