  • And Much More!\n\nPosition Summary : \n\nThe ICU at Jackson Purchase Medical Center values teamwork and communication to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. Our 8-bed unit is dedicated to ensuring that every patient receives optimal medical attention.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n
  • Deliver direct patient care in line with nursing standards and protocols.\n
  • Implement and manage the plan of care, including medication administration and clinical treatments.\n
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately.\n
  • Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physician, and family.\n
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene and nutrition.\n
  • Collaborate across disciplines for comprehensive patient care, including transfers and referrals.\n
  • Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.\n

  • Strong critical thinking abilities\n
  • Decisive judgment and self-reliance in decision-making\n
  • Capability to perform under stress\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n
  • Education : \n
  • Associate's degree required\n
  • Bachelor's degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire\n
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire\n
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire\n
  • Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire\n\nLicenses : \n
  • Registered Nurse license in the State of Kentucky.\n
