We are hiring for a Fryer Operator in our Kingsport, TN facility. Fryer Operators are responsible to operate the fryer to ensure a continuous flow of product to the production processing lines. This role sets up, monitors, and adjusts machine settings as needed throughout production shifts using computer screens.
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
Follow instructions from supervisor and general guidelinesOperates deep fryerFeed 70lb cases of Pork Pellets to fryer chuteMonitors and troubleshoots oil recovery system.Follow the Food Defense Procedure.Follow the GMP's in production areas.Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulationsPerforms routine adjustments on equipment.Controls and monitors Times, Temperatures, and quality requirements to ensure product meets customer specifications.Prepares and maintains process control sheet data.Performs tests for quality requirements and machine efficiencies.Communicates problems, changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).Responsible for the execution of the Waste Management Procedure.OTHER DUTIES : Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements :
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR :
High school diploma or GED and Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.Experience in the food manufacturing industry preferred.Demonstrated ability to operate machinery.Ability to troubleshoot issues on the machine.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to collaborate with others and work independently.Ability to identify key details.Ability to troubleshoot.Basic computer skills.WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position requires the use of special safety precautions and / or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals and materials, etc.While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over slippery surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as samples and record boxes.
