Job Description :

As a respiratory therapist, you will deliver high-quality care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction. Your responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, instituting care plans, and performing technical procedures in hospital settings.

Key areas of focus include :

  • Emergency response and airway management
  • Aerosolized drug delivery and ventilator management
  • Oxygen delivery and therapeutic monitoring
  • Chest film analysis and blood gas collection
  • EKG analysis and documentation
  • Equipment cleaning and stocking
  • Participation in quality surveys

Advanced skills may also be required, including :

  • Therapeutic gas management and monitoring
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Bronchoscopy assist
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Waveform analysis
  • Nocturnal SpO2 evaluation
  • Polysomnography
  • Transport duties

    • Qualifications include :

  • Education : RT or RCP license, BLS certification, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC
  • Experience : 1-3 years preferred
