As a Security Professional - Government Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all. Your presence supports a welcoming atmosphere while you conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate : $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Tue 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Wed 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Thur 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of individuals at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual observations in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local staff and emergency responders as needed to address security-related concerns or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence in assigned areas to help to deter potential disturbances or unauthorized activity.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Six or more months of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • A valid Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
