Job Title : Mechanical Engineer

Location : Orlando, FL (On-site)

Experience Level : Mid-Senior (7-10 years preferred)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer experienced in large-scale mechanical system design . This role includes designing mechanical systems from scratch, performing stress / fatigue / load calculations, failure and effects analysis, risk assessments, component selection, and overseeing mechanical system installation and commissioning. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement fully integrated mechanical assembly systems compliant with regulations.
  • Perform mechanical calculations including stress, fatigue, reliability, and tolerance studies.
  • Create detailed documentation of mechanical system designs, including test plans and maintenance guidelines.
  • Develop and review mechanical design drawings, assemblies, and installation procedures (AutoCAD / SolidWorks).
  • Design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Apply mechanical design principles for systems involving acceleration forces, reach envelopes, and safety analysis.
  • Lead the start-up, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Provide technical leadership for junior engineers and contractors.
  • Manage smaller projects ($50-k$250k) including scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering (7-10 years preferred).
  • Full system design experience including stress / fatigue / load analysis.
  • Experience in theme park ride design or amusement ride systems (ASTM standards preferred).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
