Job Details

  • The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame.
  • Provides care via the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the institution's philosophy.
  • Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit specific to the scope of service.
  • Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
  • Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care for healthcare team use.
  • Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care based on patient and family needs.
  • Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
  • Modifies plan of care based on continuous evaluation.
  • Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
  • Communicates directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Offers constructive feedback to assist professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge.
  • Identifies own learning needs and initiates appropriate solutions.
  • Fulfills all departmental competency requirements.

    • Job Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant nursing experience.

    • Additional Details

  • Travelers in this position are responsible for unit keys that must be returned to Carle Health at assignment completion.
  • If unable to physically return keys, traveler may ship keys to facility and must provide tracking number.
  • Failure to return keys within 30 days from last worked day will result in a $350 fee to the supplier.
