Westlake Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You

We need dependable, caring, hard-working, animal lovers to start asap. The Veterinary Technician Assistant Position involves all care of animals which includes assisting technicians, walking, feeding, medicating, surgery packs, anesthesia recovery, and monitoring. This position is also responsible for the general cleanliness of the hospital and kennel.

Experience & Skills Requirements :

• 1 + year of animal handling experience
• Veterinary Assistant experience highly preferred
• Understand and embrace emotional intelligence
• Communicate effectively and with confidence
• Be resilient and ready to tackle any challenges head on
• Have a sincere desire to help pets and their people

We are a busy 7 doctor practice located in the lovely city of Austin, Texas. We nurture not only our clients and their pets, but also our staff. We offer professional and personal growth as well as promote a healthy work / life balance. We strive to make work fun, engaging, and rewarding.

We are open Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm
