With offices across North Carolina, our Physical Therapist role uses various equipment and techniques to perform physical therapeutic methods, practices, and procedures. Our Physical Therapist assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs and activities involving the administration of routine therapeutic treatments by physical or mechanical methods that help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, to persons with disabilities or developmental delays. This position is hybrid; two days a week in the clinic (Monday & Saturday), and three days a week working from home performing Telehealth visits.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience :
- A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Current CPR Certification
- Excellent documentation and communication skills

Practice in functional, prevocational, vocational, and homemaking skills, and activities of daily livingConsult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and develop a treatment planTeach patients how to properly use exercise techniquesParticipation in sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities designed to help patients of handicapped persons develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to handicapsConsult with rehabilitation team to select activity program consistent with needs and capabilities of individual and to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activitiesSelect constructive activities suited to individual's physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest to upgrade individual to maximum independence, assist in restoration of functions, and aid in adjustment to disabilityProvide stimulation or massage to affected areaTeach patient skills and techniques required for participation in activities and evaluate patient progressDesign and construct special equipment for patients and suggest adaptation of patients work-living environmentPlan, organize, and conduct physical therapy programs in hospital, institutional, or community settings to help rehabilitate those impaired because of illness, injury, or psychological or developmental problemsTest and evaluate patient's physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for patientsSelect activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within limits of their mental and physical capabilitiesEvaluate patients progress and prepare reports that detail progressComplete and maintain necessary recordsTrain caregivers how to provide for the needs of a patient during and after therapyRecommend changes in patients work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilitiesPlan and implement programs and social activities to help patients learn work and school skills and adjust to handicapsDesign and create, or requisition, special supplies, and equipment, such as splints, braces, and computer-aided adaptive equipmentHelp patients improve decision making, abstract reasoning, memory, sequencing, coordination, and perceptual skills using computer programsLay out materials such as puzzles, scissors and eating utensils for use in therapy, and clean / repair tool after therapy sessionOther Responsibilities :
May conduct training programs or participate in training medical and nursing students and other workers in physical therapy techniques and objectivesDevelop and participate in health promotion programs, group activities, or discussions to promote client health, facilitate social adjustment, alleviate stress, and prevent physical or mental disabilityConduct research in physical therapyAdvise on health risks in the workplace and home and on health-related transition to retirementPlan program involving activities, such as manual arts and craftsProvide patient with assistance in locating and holding jobsProvide training and supervision in therapy techniques and objectives for students and nurses and other medical staff
