WHAT YOU'LL DO

The purpose of the Assembly Technician is to assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and subassemblies.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measuring tools.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Resolve assembly problems by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor for additional resources. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Manage supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
  • Use resources efficiently to accomplish job results.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform cross-training and other duties as required.

  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless handheld device.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
