As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol - Part Time in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned food and beverage location, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the facility, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and offer outstanding customer service to everyone on site. You will play a key role in promoting a secure environment and supporting the client's operations.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeFri12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AMSat12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the food and beverage environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and security-related matters according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and vendors by providing information and guidance related to security-related procedures.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts specific to the food and beverage industry location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
