is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our team. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign on & relocation bonuses.\n\nFull-Time, Night shift (7pm - 7am). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights).\n\nInova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience.   • 24-hour lab testing and radiology including X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound\n
  • 4-5 : 1 patient to nurse ratio\n
  • Emergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)\n
  • Ventilator trained nursing and EMT staff\n
  • Board-certified emergency physicians\n
  • Supportive team environment\n

  • Front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit,\n
  • Embraces; uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools.\n
  • Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes\n
  • Role model who leads by example in delivering Service Always and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility.\n
  • Seeks every opportunity to meet the unique needs of each person we are privileged to serve-every time, every touch.\n
  • Ensures that care is patient-centered\n
  • Continually pursues activities that will ensure smooth clinical operations / flow and compliance with Inova's goals of providing safe, equitable, patient-centered, timely, efficient and effective care in a holistic and evidence-based practice environment.\n
  • Values and promotes collegial working relationships within and among disciplines\n
  • Communicates effectively and supports production of an environment of mutual trust\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n
  • Experience : Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience\n
  • Education : BSN or Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of completing their BSN\n
  • Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days of employment\n
  • License : Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.\n
  • Certification : BLS from American Heart Association required upon start\n
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n
  • Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention.\n
  • Demonstrates professionalism and ability to remain calm and lead in dynamic and busy situations.\n
  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and healthcare software required.\n
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and prioritization; can serve as a resource and mentor to other clinical staff on the unit.\n\nPreferred Qualifications : \n
  • Prefer candidates with 2 years plus of ED RN experience.\n
  • Strongly prefer Charge or Supervisory experience\n
