Position Overview

The Accounting Specialist supports the Treasurer and Borough Manager by handling a wide range of accounting and administrative responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and has a solid foundation in accounting principles, billing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accounts receivable and billing records, including delinquent accounts

Assist with preparation of financial and productivity reporting

Process lien notices and track insurance claims

Support payroll, AP, and fund accounting functions

Handle confidential information with discretion

Engage in customer service with residents and stakeholders

Qualifications

Experience : 2+ years in an office setting with exposure to accounting, billing, and data entry

Technical Skills :

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Comfort learning new software platforms

Soft Skills : Detail-oriented, organized, strong communication skills, adaptable, and customer-focused

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range : $41K-$43K
