Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector Lead to ensure our cabinet products meet company standards and customer specifications throughout the assembly process. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring production quality, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in cabinet manufacturing. This position will be full-time and will provide direct supervision and guidance to quality control staff while maintaining strict adherence to company quality protocols. This includes monitoring quality standards, implementing corrective measures, and preventing substandard products from advancing to the packaging stage.
JOB DUTIES :
Supervisory Responsibilities :
2-3 Direct reports. Training new employees on Quality Process how to identify defects.Inspection and Testing :
Perform in-process quality checks at various assembly line stages to identify defects earlyInspect finished cabinets for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, hardware installation, and overall craftsmanshipTest drawer slides, hinges, and other moving components for proper function and durabilityVerify compliance with customer specifications, blueprints, and work ordersRoaming the Panel Processing Department for quality on partsDocumentation and Reporting :
Maintain detailed quality control records and inspection logsDocument non-conforming products and track corrective actionsGenerate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for managementCommunicate quality issues to production supervisors and engineering teamsUpdate quality control procedures and checklists as neededProcess Improvement :
Identify trends in defects and recommend process improvementsCollaborate with production teams to implement corrective measuresParticipate in root cause analysis for quality issuesSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product qualitySafety and Compliance :
Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipmentEnsure compliance with industry standards and company quality policiesMaintain clean and organized inspection areasSupport regulatory audits and customer quality assessmentsJOB INFORMATION POSITIONS AVAILABLE : 1JOB TYPE : Full TimeWAGE PER HOUR : $22 to $26 negotiable based on experience and knowledgeHOURS PER WEEK : 40+ Sometimes we run a B shift.OVER TIME : 10-30 hours if there are open projects that need itWORKWEEK : Full-time, day shift with occasional overtime as needed. Required Qualifications :
2+ years experience in quality control or manufacturing environmentKnowledge of woodworking processes and cabinet constructionFamiliarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Basic computer skills for data entry and reportingStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to read blueprints and technical specificationsGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications :
Experience in furniture or cabinet manufacturingKnowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001)Certification in quality control or inspection methodsExperience with quality control software / databasesPhysical Requirements :
