- Hours per Week : 36\n
- Weekend Coverage : Required (12 weekend shifts per contract)\n
- Patient Ratios : 1 : 2\n
- Charting System : Cerner EMR\n
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1700-$1820\n\nCVICU RN Qualifications\n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred)\n
- Active Arkansas or Compact State Registered Nurse License\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience, including open heart / heart recovery\n
- Previous charge nurse experience required\n
- Travel nursing experience highly preferred\n
- Certifications : BLS and ACLS (required); NIHSS preferred\n
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records preferred\n
- Strong communication and basic computer skills required\n
- Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance\n
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions considered)\n\nCVICU RN Responsibilities\n
- Deliver direct patient care in the CVICU, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation\n
- Provide leadership and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams\n
- Care for cardiovascular surgery patients (CABG, valve replacement / repair, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, etc.)\n
- Manage advanced therapies and equipment : IABP, ECMO, Impella, induced hypothermia, and more\n
- Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage ventilated patients, and respond to critical emergencies\n
- Participate in shared governance and promote evidence-based nursing care\n
