Overview
Stanford University invites applications for a tenured Associate or Full Professor in Climate Science. Climate science is central to understanding and responding to the challenges of global change. We are interested in candidates who can contribute to the school's strategic research and teaching priorities. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the physical processes of the atmosphere and ocean, the feedbacks and nonlinear dynamics that influence climate sensitivity, key risks to human and natural systems, as well as strategies to limit future warming and manage climate-related impacts. We invite candidates who have demonstrated excellence across a broad range of areas (including natural sciences, engineering, and social sciences). The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member in one of the departments in Stanford's Doerr School for Sustainability, and could also be jointly appointed in one of the School's institutes.
