About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years in specialty required

License : Valid nursing license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (if the traveler has great ER experience but no TNCC, this requirement will be waived)

Must-Have : One year of recent experience in specialty preferred

Description :

The role involves providing care in a busy emergency room setting.

The average number of patients treated in the emergency room is 111 per day.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4.

Common diagnoses include trauma, respiratory illnesses, and mental health issues.

Candidates must be able to manage trauma patients and have experience with pediatric cases.

All critical care drips are commonly administered in the unit.

There is a separate triage area and a fast track section within the emergency department.

Emergency room nurses are responsible for monitoring and reading telemetry strips.

On weekends, there is a requirement to work every other weekend.

Holiday coverage is also required every other holiday.

There are no floating requirements to other units.

The facility operates 24 / 7 and has in-house security during peak hours.

Phlebotomy services are performed by RNs and techs.

Transport for critical patients is handled by nursing staff.

Experience with critical care situations is preferred.
