Senior Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric & Azure Analytics

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in Minneapolis, MN for a 4-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding requirements and performing data analysis, setting up and managing platform components, and building secure, scalable solutions across the platform. You will create and manage Lakehouse environments, implement processes for data ingestion, scalable ETL, and data integration, and design comprehensive warehousing solutions for analytics.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of experience working with relevant platforms.
• Expertise in data management and engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of reports and semantic models.
• Proven record of building ETL and data solutions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience building data warehouses.
• Strong skills in Python and PySpark.
• Experience implementing and scheduling Spark jobs, and writing Spark SQL queries.
• Experience utilizing tools for effective data asset management and analytics.
• Ability to adapt to different tools and technologies.
• Strong learning attitude.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a team spread across multiple locations.
