Position- QA Engineer
Location- Houston, TX(Day1 Onsite)
Job Description
1.Work onsite with client teams to understand service requirements, integration touchpoints, and testing scope.
2.Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of services (SOAP, REST, Microservices, APIs).
3.Validate request / response structures, business rules, and data flows across multiple backend systems.
4.Collaborate with onsite developers, BAs, and architects to analyze service contracts (WSDL, Swagger, RAML, JSON, XML).
5.Coordinate with offshore QA teams to align on test coverage, execution, and defect triage.
6.Design, execute, and maintain service-level test cases and automation scripts.
7.Strong hands-on experience with Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured.
8.Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git.
9.Experience in automation frameworks for API testing
10.Participate in daily client meetings, status reporting, and UAT / production support.
Roles & Responsibilities
Understand the QA & QE requirements of a project Communicate with project stakeholders, clients, and different vendor teams Prepare test plan and test strategy Review test cases Plan for test automation, performance testing Track testing progress and manage effort and schedule variance Onboard and train QA engineers Work with Team Leads, developers, automation team, DBAs, Build Engineers, and Product managers to be able to contribute on the software test strategy Create and maintain test cases on the test case management tool. Consult with product development team to evaluate functionality, performance requirements and use cases. Create extremely detailed bugs on the bug tracking system and follow up on the status of those Work with team leads to contribute on the maintenance of test environments Provide testing level of effort estimates out of the requirements and commit to the deadlines while reporting on a promptly manner if issues arise that will impact the deadlines Work on the testing of the products while following the process and procedures that are unique to our company. We prefer to over communicate and the Read all emails at the beginning of the day with the instructions for the assigned tasks and the latest events that happened on the headquarters Works with team leads to find the root cause analysis when issues are found on production or late in the process Helps on prioritization of test cases based on severity and priority Assist the automation team to clarify any questions that might arise from the test cases to be automated
