About this Position :
The Senior Delivery Buyer is responsible for managing the overall trial part (increased complexity) readiness throughout the new model development cycle. Considering impact and risk to trial event readiness, effectively complete analysis of part shipment lead times and cost to ensure on-time delivery of parts to North American facilities. Effectively communicate and work with North American suppliers to ensure on-time achievement of project goals.
Responsibilities include :
- Lead critical recovery activity to ensure on time delivery for all New Model Part trials
- Establish trial part pricing and negotiate with supplier as needed (type and complexity of part increases)
- Generate, order and expedite parts (complexity of part increases with level) for new model trials and other special purposes
- Lead supplier readiness activity for new and critical suppliers to ensure project targets are achieved at key development stages
- Manage one or more Senior Buyer level special projects targeting improvement plans for department process efficiency and cost reduction
- Prepare and conduct a transfer of relevant new model information to the mass production team
- Mentor and support team of associates for the department with BOM, PO technical know-how
