A growing technical services company is seeking a Field Engineer to support installation, startup, and maintenance of precision HVAC and environmental control systems for high-tech and cleanroom facilities across the U.S. This is a hands-on role for an experienced HVAC or controls professional who enjoys travel, troubleshooting, and ensuring complex systems perform at their best. Responsibilities
- Commission, calibrate, and service HVAC and environmental control systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and controls issues in the field
- Balance and adjust systems including air handlers, chillers, and filtration units
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and facility managers to ensure top performance
- Prepare detailed field reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Travel nationwide up to 85%, with paid trips home on a regular schedule Qualifications
- HVAC certification or equivalent technical training
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC, controls, or building automation systems
- Strong troubleshooting and hands-on technical skills
- Experience in cleanroom or high-precision environments preferred
- Familiar with laptops, tablets, and digital reporting tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness and availability to travel extensively Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range : $70,000 – $100,000 + performance bonus
