About Fortunoff Backyard Store :

  • The iconic Fortunoff® brand returned to the New York / New Jersey market with the opening of seven Fortunoff® Backyard Store locations in February 2010.
  • We now have 27 locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
  • We offer one stop shopping where you can be sure to find the perfect outdoor furniture to match your backyard setting, your entertainment needs, your taste and your budget.
  • Many of our sets have multiple options of table sizes to ensure the furniture fits your backyard.
  • All at the same great prices that you'll find anywhere and that have made Fortunoff® a beloved legend.
  • This position involves the preparation work necessary for delivery of merchandise as well as basic warehouse functions.
  • The position will occasionally require the employee to work overtime hours.
    • Essential Duties :
  • 1.
  • Unwraps and assembles furniture at the assigned dock. 2.
  • Cleans and inspects merchandise for errors and defects. 3.
  • Touch-up merchandise as needed 4.
  • Re-wraps merchandise for delivery 5.
  • Stages merchandise for delivery truck loading 6.
  • Assist with Customer Pick-ups (CPUs) 7.
  • Unload Receiving inventory containers and trucks 8.

Completes other duties as assigned by warehouse leadership team SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • LANGUAGE SKILLS :

  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

    • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS REASONING ABILITY :

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
