Kennesaw State University (KSU) invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Computing and Software Engineering (CCSE). Located on two suburban campuses in Kennesaw and Marietta, Georgia, KSU is a leader in innovative teaching and learning offering over 190 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees and certificates and serving over 50,000 students. CCSE is comprised of three departments plus the School of Data Science and Analytics with approximately 3,929 undergraduate and 1,290 graduate students supported by 202 faculty and 27 full-time and part-time staff. The Dean is expected to take office on July 1, 2026.
Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will serve as the College's chief executive and academic officer and will provide strategic leadership and academic, administrative, and financial oversight of the College. Working closely with College leadership, the Academic Deans' Council, and the Provost, the Dean will spearhead a strategy focused on elevating academic distinction, fostering student success, and deepening engagement. The next Dean will have a unique opportunity to build on the remarkable growth KSU has experienced in recent years and position CCSE as a nationally recognized leader in computing education, research and innovation that bridges academic excellence with real-world impact.
KSU seeks an inspiring, intellectually curious, and entrepreneurial leader to guide the College toward a dynamic and successful future. The new Dean will uphold the highest academic standards, possess a distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, and service; and demonstrate strong management and leadership abilities with a commitment to transparency and shared governance. Credentials to hold an appointment at the rank of tenured full professor in a department within CCSE are required, and a proven track record of leadership experience within a university setting is essential for this role.
